The Honor Play 7 comes with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. There is also a dedicated MicroSD card slot for the further expanding up to 256GB. In the camera department, the smartphone comes with a 13MP rear camera with PDAF and a 5MP front camera for selfies. Both the front and rear camera are accompanied by a LED flash.

It runs on the latest Android 8.1 Oreo-based EMUI 8.1 out of the box. The device comes with triple card slot for adding two nano SIM cards and also one MicroSD card. The Honor Play 7 is backed by a 3,020mAh non-removable battery. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, 3.5mm audio jack, and a MicroUSB 2.0 port.
