LG is expected to launch its 2018 flagship smartphone with a 6.1″ 18:9 MLCD+ display and Snapdragon 845 in June this year. At the upcoming MWC 2018, it will be unveiling the LG V30sas an upgrade to the last year’s LG V30. While the MWC begins in three more days, the company today announced the LG K8 (2018) & LG K10 (2018) smartphones. Both these devices come with entry-level specifications and sports the same boring design as seen on their predecessors. Unlike the LG Q-series, these new LG K-series devices still feature the 16:9 displays.
Talking about the LG K10 (2018), it will be available in three different variants – LG K10+, LG K10, and LG K10α. All the three variants come with a 5.3-inch In-cell display with HD (1280 x 720 pixels) resolution and 16:9 aspect ratio. Under the hood, they feature an unspecified octa-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz. While the LG K10+ comes with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage, the LG K10 and LG K10α will be offering 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. All the three variants sports a MicroSD card slot for expanding the storage technically up to 2TB.
In terms of cameras, the LG K10 and LG K10+ sports a 13MP rear camera and 8MP/5MP wide-angle front camera. Coming to the LG K10α, it offers an 8MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera. The LG K10 smartphones will be backed by a 3,000mAh non-removable battery and feature rear-facing fingerprint sensor. They will be running on Android 7.1.2 Nougat out of the box. The devices will be measuring 148.7 x 75.3 x 8.68 mm and weighs 162 grams. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, NFC, and MicroUSB 2.0 port.
Coming to the LG K8 (2018) smartphone, it comes in a single variant with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. On the front is a 5-inch On-cell display with HD (1280 x 720 pixels) display. It comes powered by unknown quad-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz. The storage on this device can be expandable only up to 32GB. In the camera department, the LG K8 (2018) sports an 8MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera. The device runs on Android 7.1.2 Nougat with LG UX UI on top. It measures 146.3 x 73.2 x 8.2 mm and weighs 152 grams.
The LG K8 (2018) is backed by a 2,500mAh battery and its user replaceable. Connectivity options on this device include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, FM Radio, and MicroUSB 2.0 port. It will be available in Aurora Black, Moroccan Blue, and Terra Gold color options. As of now, there is no information about the availability or the pricing of these devices.
