A couple of months back, Gionee had unveiled two new mid-range smartphones – Gionee M7 & M7 Power. Now, the company seems to soon unveil the third device under the M7 series called as Gionee M7 Plus. Unlike the earlier launched M7 smartphones, the upcoming Gionee M7 Plus uses premium build materials. It comes with a metal frame and uses the leather-like material on the rear. The TENAA listing of the device also revealed complete specifications of the device.
It sports a large 6.43-inch AMOLED display on the front with Full HD+ (2160 x 1080 pixels) resolution and 18:9 aspect ratio. Under the hood is the 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 octa-core processor coupled with Adreno 512 GPU. The device includes 6GB of RAM and comes in 64GB and 128GB storage options. There is also a MicroSD card slot for expanding the storage up to 256GB. It runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat out of the box with Amigo UI laid on top.
In terms of optics, the M7 Plus features a 16MP + 8MP dual rear cameras along with dual tone LED flash. For selfies, there is an 8MP camera on the front. On the rear of the device, we can also spot the square-shaped fingerprint sensor. It also supports dual SIM dual standby using the hybrid SIM slot. As seen on the earlier launched M-series smartphone, the M7 Plus also packs a hefty 5,000mAh battery and will also support fast charging and reverse charging.
Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, 3.5mm headphone jack, and USB Type-C port. It measures 166.5 × 81.6 × 8.7 mm and feels bulky by weighing 241 grams. The company is yet to reveal the launch date of this device. However, the availability of the device will be mostly limited only to the Chinese market. Just last week, Gionee launched the M7 Power smartphone in the Indian market for Rs. 16,999. In the coming weeks, we might also see the Gionee M7.
It also comes with an 18:9 display, but only with HD+ (720×1440 pixels) resolution. The device is powered by Snapdragon 435 processor and packs 4GB of RAM and 64GB of onboard storage. There is a 13MP rear camera, an 8MP front camera, and a 5,000mAh battery. It also runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat and comes with basic connectivity options.
