Your wait for a gold color variant of the OnePlus 3 is about to be over. After unveiling the OnePlus 3’s graphite color variant in June, OnePlus has just teased a soft gold version of its latest flagship offering.
The image posted on Weibo shows the back of the OnePlus 3 in a golden hue that looks elegant, but not shiny.
Don’t expect the new paint job to come with any change in the hardware, as the internals are most likely to remain the same.
During the launch of the OnePlus 3, the company announced two color versions of the third-gen ‘Flagship Killer’ – graphite and gold – but only the former was put up for sale.
Soon, rumors of additional variants of the OnePlus 3, including green and red, began doing the rounds. An image of a red color variant of the OnePlus 3 spotted briefly on the manufacturer’s website and a render of a green OnePlus 3 surfacing online only added to the excitement of fans. To their disappointment, OnePlus representatives shut down these rumors.
Last month, in a reply to a user query on Twitter, OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei revealed that the soft gold variant of the OnePlus 3 would be launched in the second week of July. It looks like the company is a little behind schedule, but the teaser it put up means that the gold OnePlus 3 is just around the corner.
