On the front is the 6.22-inch FullView display with HD+ (1520 x 720 pixels) resolution and 19:9 aspect ratio. There is also a notch on top of the display. Under the hood is the all-new MediaTek Helio P22 octa-core processor built on a 12nm FinFET process. It comes coupled with PowerVR GE8320 GPU and sports 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. The earlier launched Vivo Y83 came with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage.
There is also a MicroSD card slot for further expanding the storage. Coming to the camera department, the Vivo Y81 houses a 13MP camera on the rear with f/2.2 aperture and a 5MP camera on the front with the same f/2.2 aperture. The Vivo Y83 came with a slightly better 8MP selfie camera. The device runs on the latest Android 8.1 Oreo with the highly customized FunTouch OS 4.0 laid on top.
With all these specs, the device is powered by the 3,260mAh non-removable battery. Just like the Vivo Y83, there is no fingerprint sensor on the Vivo Y81.
