While the Moto G6 offers Full HD+ (2160 x 1080 pixels) resolution, the Moto G6 Play is limited to HD+ (1440 x 720 pixels) resolution. Both these devices come with metal frame and curved glass back body. The Moto G6 Play is backed by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 427 octa-core processor and comes in 2GB and 3GB RAM variants. While the 2GB RAM variants offer 16GB of internal storage, the 3GB RAM variant packs 32GB of internal storage.
On the other hand, the Moto G6 packs Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 octa-core processor and comes in 3GB + 32GB and 4GB + 63GB storage options. The devices come with a hybrid SIM card slot for further expanding the storage up to 128GB. They will be running on vanilla flavored Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box and includes Moto-exclusive features like Moto Display and Moto Actions. While the Moto G6 sports front-facing fingerprint sensor, the Moto G6 Play features it on the rear.
Coming to the cameras, the Moto G6 sports 12MP + 5MP dual rear cameras with f/1.8 aperture and a 16MP front camera for selfies. The Moto G6 Play comes with a single 13MP camera on the rear with f/2.0 aperture and a 5MP camera on the front. Both the cameras on these devices can record videos only up to 1080p resolution. The Moto G6 is backed by a 3,000mAh battery and supports TurboPower Charging using the USB Type-C port.
The Moto G6 Play with the same screen size offers a bigger 4,000mAh battery and also includes 15W TurboPower Charging support. The Moto G6 comes with an additional microphone and offer face unlock option. Coming to the pricing, the Moto G6 is priced at Rs 13,999 and will be sold via Amazon.in and Moto Hubs. The Moto G6 Play will be available through Flipkart and moto Hubs and costs Rs 11,999. Both these devices will be on sale starting midnight today.
