Following the debut of the Moto G5 Plus earlier this year, it’s rumored that Motorola is prepping an upgrade version that could be revealed as soon as this month.
The Moto G5S Plus is said to have a few updates over the non-S Moto G5 Plus. That includes a larger 5.5-inch display, up from the G5 Plus’s 5.2-inch screen, at a resolution of 1920x1080.
Moto’s G5S Plus is also expected to include dual 13-megapixel rear cameras, one color and one black and white, which will help users to achieve bokeh-style blurry backgrounds and other effects. The G5S Plus’s front camera is said to be an 8-megapixel sensor. To compare, the standard G5 Plus features one 12-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera.
Other features rumored to be included with the Moto G5S Plus include an octa-core Snapdragon 625 processor, up to 4GB of RAM, and up to 64GB of built-in storage, all wrapped in a metal body.
Motorola is hosting an event on July 25th, and so it’s possible that we could meet this Moto G5S Plus there. While it’s not the most high-end device around, the Moto G5S Plus sounds like it could be a solid option for folks looking for an affordable device, especially since it includes premium features like a dual rear camera setup and metal body.
