NEW DELHI: Nokia's upcoming rumoured flagship smartphone recently leaked online, complete with images and specifications. And now, a new handset going by the moniker Nokia Z2 Plus has been spotted on GeekBench benchmarking website.
As per the listing, Nokia Z2 Plus runs Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow out-of-the-box. It's likely powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 SoC paired with 4GB of RAM. However, these specifications contradict those mentioned in previous reports about the flagship smartphone.
According to latest rumours, Nokia's upcoming flagship, likely to be called Nokia P, will feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC coupled with 6GB of RAM. It's also expected to come with a 23MP rear camera with Zeiss lens. Previous rumours have indicated that the handset may have a Quad HD display.
There is no word regarding the Nokia P's launch date as of yet. However, HMD Global (the company that acquired the rights for the devices' manufacturing) has confirmed that it will be launching Nokia-branded devices at MWC 2017.
The company is also rumoured to be working on a device dubbed as Nokia D1C. The device is said to come at a price tag of $150. This particular version will sport a 5-inch Full HD display of 1080x1920 pixel resolution and 2GB of RAM. The higher-end variant is expected to be priced at around $200 and come with a 5.5-inch Full HD display, along with 3GB of RAM.
Previously, there were several contradicting reports regarding the rumoured Nokia D1C. While some claimed that the device is a tablet, others referred to it as a smartphone. Some other specs of the unannounced handset include a 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 SoC and 32GB of internal storage.
HMD Global recently launched Nokia 150 and Nokia 150 Dual SIM handsets. Both are set to hit the markets in 2017.
